[For those who don't know]What is Vocaloid?
Vocaloid, Vocaloid2 and Vocaloid3 are voice synthesizing applications, they have been commercially sold since 2004 and began from one of the simplest ideas of synthesizing the human vocals for singing. From the start this was never a easy task for the programmers behind the software, but from that beginning to what we have now Vocaloid™ has grown into a synthesizing phenomena who has spawned new musicians, albums, figurines and even concerts.
There are many different Vocaloids, such as Kaito, Hatsune Miku and Kamui Gakupo who sing in Japanese. Or Vocaloids like Lola, Big Al and Miriam who sing in English. As of Vocaloid 3 there are now Vocaloids like Bruno and Clara who are Spanish, while SeeU is Korean and Luo Tianyi is Chinese. Who is Miku Hatsune?
Hatsune Miku (初音ミク) is the first Japanese Vocaloid2 in the Vocaloid2 Character Vocal Series, the third Japanese Vocaloid created by Crypton Future Media, and is the seventh Vocaloid to have appeared overall; released on August 31, 2007. She is considered as the most popular and well known Vocaloid and the first to become a pop idol. The data for the voice was created by sampling the voice of Saki Fujita (藤田 咲, Fujita Saki), a Japanese voice actress. And who the Hell is Mikuo?!
Hatsune Mikuo is the popular genderswap based on official Vocaloid Hatsune Miku. Mikuo's design is often reminiscent to that of Hatsune Miku, a Vocaloid 2 developed and distributed by Crypton Future Media. There has been no defined design as it changes from artist to artist, but it is common to see him wearing pants and a sleeved shirt. The most popular hairstyle for him is short with bangs, though a ponytail has often been seen. On his left upper arm is the red mark "01", which is Miku's series number.
